Benjamin Franklin Elementary School is a four-language dual-immersion magnet school in the Glendale Unified School District, with a focus on environmental sustainability and citizenship. This year, we've turned our annual Science Fair into an open community Earth Fest, focused on environmental topics close to our hearts: Energy conservation, environmental sciences, sustainable food practices, habitat preservation, local insects and wildlife, native plants, sustainable transportation, clean air & water, water conservation, and more.

Please join us on Saturday, April 27th from 10 am to 3 pm!

Adults can pick up bargains at our yard sale, take home a food waste bin or new plant, learn about home rebates, get helpful discounts and tips, sign up to donate excess fruit to those in need, learn about composting, and tour Franklin's campus gardens.

Children can enjoy games and activities led by HAWKS LA camp leaders, look at mosquito larvae under a microscope with the Nature Nexus Institute, investigate Franklin's gardens with their senses and magnifying glasses, add a wish to the Glendale Environmental Coalition's Wishing Tree, practice sorting food for Glendale's green bins, take home an eco-craft, and more!
